The Sky Hempy Keyboard Series returns with a new home – the SCA’s renovated “Bob & Bobbie Lobby”! The lobby’s outstanding acoustics and warm ambiance are the ideal compliment to this informal keyboard series featuring a range of riveting musicians, Sunday afternoons in January, February, and March.
As always, children are free of charge – this is an ideal way to introduce young pianists to engaging live music (in an “I can sit through it” format).
The Series kicks off with pianist/composer Deborrah Wyndham who has delighted listeners in over 2,700 shows during the last ten years. Described by her jazz peers as "a cross between Liberace and Bill Evans", her live performances are a fusion of contemporary classical and jazz. See why critics say she, "...radiates with the soulfulness of jazz...there is a crystalline elegance to her playing."
