This 70.3 mile course includes biking, running and swimming.
Race begins at 7 a.m. with the swim followed by the bike and finally ending with the run.
The Swim:
The 1.2 mile swim will either start at Tiscornia Park (if the current is flowing South to North) or at Rocky Gap Park (if the current is flowing North to South) and will end at Jean Klock Park. The water will be 10-12 feet deep and the water temperature is usually 60-74 degrees. Lake Michigan can be calm or choppy depending on the winds, so expect 1-3 foot waves. Participants will swim outside a line of buoys and inside a line of lifeguards on rescue boats, kayaks and surfboards. Once the swim is completed, participants should continue on to the Transition Area located in a large parking lot located in Jean Klock Park where plenty of bike racks are secured by event staff.
Bike Course:
The 56-mile course will take triathletes through northern Berrien Count and easter Van Buren County. The course roadways are mostly asphalt in good condition with some rolling hills throughout.
The Run:
The 13.1 mile run takes place on roadways and the Whirlpool Corporate Campus. The course is subject to change and final course description and maps will be posted two weeks before the event.
*Each leg of the course must be completed by certain times below, or will be disqualified.
*SWIM: 9:47 a.m.
*BIKE: 1:02 p.m.
*RUN: 4:32 p.m.

4. Plan to arrive at the transition area early! That means 5-5:45 a.m. If you get there late, you may be shutout and prevented from racing. Allow plenty of time for traffic, parking, getting to the site and getting your gear into transition. Transition closes promptly at 6:30 a.m.
5. Remember to bring along (2) water bottles already filled for the bike. Bring water to drink on the way to and before the race.
6. The transition area closes at 6:30 a.m. and re-opens at approximately 1 p.m. (after the last participant is out on the run), regardless of which wave you're in. Do not leave anything in transition that you'll need after you finish the race. For reasons of safety and fairness, we will be strictly enforcing this rule. In this hilarious Tony Award winning comedy, Bernard, a successful Parisian architect, juggles three flight attendant fiancées: an American woman (Gloria), an Italian woman (Gabriella) and a German woman (Gretchen). He tracks their airlines' timetables while his long-suffering housekeeper, Bertha, reluctantly resets the menus and bedroom decor depending on their arrivals and departures. Bernard has been successful at convincing each woman that she is the only one.
Bernard's old school friend Robert arrives unexpectedly, and Bernard proudly explains to his wide-eyed visitor how he makes his busy romantic schedule run smoothly. He also has a fallback plan for keeping his fiancées separate, involving his country house.

Lois attempts to console Marge by setting her up with the resort's handsome, self-obsessed singer Del Delmonaco. But her plans backfire when Del mistakenly assumes that Marge's father can further his ambitions to become the next teen heartthrob on American Bandstand. Take a musical journey through the music behind the movies. Sit back and enjoy as our full symphonic orchestra serenades you with the best loved and most beautiful themes from hit movies of the last 30 years. The concert will feature music from Hollywood’s most popular film scores, including Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Forrest Gump, Jurassic Park, Jaws, and much more!
“If you think about the beginning of Forrest Gump and imagine how flat the opening sequence would be without the music, you will immediately appreciate the power and beauty of the music that has graced the best movies,” said Music Director Robin Fountain, “the Southwest Michigan is front and center as we present some of the most beautiful and evocative symphonic film music ever composed.”

•Beach Pass: A $35, four (4) ticket package that’s good for any of our Beach Concerts events. Lawn seating only.
•Lawn Seating: Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Attendees bring their own chairs or blankets.
•Reserved Seating: A seat in a reserved seating area for $25.
•Reserved Tables: A reserved table with 10 tickets for $250.
Prices are increased by $5 the day of the concert.
Parking:
Parking at Jean Klock Park is $5 per car. Free parking for this concert will be available at the Whirlpool St. Joseph Technology Center parking lot - located at 303 Upton Drive in St. Joseph, MI - where patrons can park and catch a free shuttle bus to Jean Klock Park. The Whirlpool St. Joseph Technology Center parking lot will be open from 6:00pm – 7:30pm, with the shuttle bus service running during this time. The shuttle bus will run for 45 minutes after the end of the concert.
A beach menu provided by Classic Catering and ice cream by Water Street Gelatoworks will be available.

The 9th annual Latin Tastes & Rhythms Festival, hosted by the Whirlpool Hispanic Network, will take place on Saturday, August 4,2012 at the Shadowland Pavilion at Silver Beach in St. Joseph, Michigan.
